Pembroke falls to Kemptville in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

The Kemptville 73s' Jake Gaudet scored 38 seconds into overtime to beat the Pembroke Lumber Kings, 3-2 (OT).

Gaudet was all over the ice for Kemptville, as he registered two goals in the win.

The 73s' offense rang up 39 shots on Pembroke's net.

Neal Samanski also scored for Kemptville. In addition, Kemptville received assists from Bobby Dow, who had two and Tyson Kirkby, Cameron Russell, Tyler Beauparlant, and Liam Watson, who each chipped in one.

The Lumber Kings excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.

Pembroke was helped by Alex Gilmour, who had one goal. Gilmour scored on the power play 4:05 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Pembroke. The Lumber Kings had gained a power play chance when Brandon Cole was whistled for roughing. Tyler ONeill picked up the assist. Pembroke also got a goal from Johnny Kyte as well. Other players who recorded assists for Pembroke were Chris Minns, Nicolas Vlahos, and Brett Horn, who contributed one each.

Nicholas Hodgins rejected 24 shots on goal for Kemptville. The 73s incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Boyd Diclemente recorded 36 saves for Pembroke. The Lumber Kings incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
