Carleton Place beats Pembroke 3-0 as Point gains shutout

Colton Point made 25 saves to complete the shutout and led the Carleton Place Canadians to a 3-0 win against the Pembroke Lumber Kings.

Carleton Place was led by Geoff Kitt, who tallied one goal. Kitt scored 10:32 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Carleton Place. Bryce VanHorn picked up the assist.

The Canadians' defensive play was more effective than usual against Pembroke. Carleton Place averages 3.0 goals allowed per game. The Canadians was effective with a man advantage, and put in two goals while on the power play.

Carleton Place additionally got points from VanHorn, who also had one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Carleton Place also got a goal from Matt Lombardozzi as well. Other players who recorded assists for Carleton Place were Lucas Batt, Shawn Kennedy, Braedyn Asselstine, and Jordan Larson, who contributed one each.
