Marcus Joseph gave the Carleton Place Canadians a 3-2 (OT) victory over the Kemptville 73s when he scored 1:39 into the extra period. Carleton Place's penalty kill excelled, as the Canadians gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays. Carleton Place was sparked by Joseph, who registered one goal. The Canadians stifled Kemptville's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals. Carleton Place could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 18 minutes in penalties during the game. Carleton Place also had goals scored by Jordan Larson and Tim Theochardis, who scored one goal each. In addition, Carleton Place received assists from Lucas Batt, who had two and Owen Grant, Nicolas Carrier, and Vinny Post, who each chipped in one. The 73s excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Kemptville was helped by Bobby Dow, who registered one goal. Dow scored 1:16 into the third period to make the score 1-1. Brandon Cole picked up the assist. Adam Alavi also scored for Kemptville. Other players who recorded assists for Kemptville were Quinn Wichers, Dean Kiriacou, and Jake Gaudet, who contributed one each. Colton Point rejected 20 shots on goal for the Canadians. Peter Brooks recorded 26 saves for the 73s. Kemptville incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. The 73s ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Cameron Bisson was ejected from the game.
