Hawkesbury downs Ottawa, 5-2

The Hawkesbury Hawks took home the win against the Ottawa Senators, 5-2.

Hawkesbury was helped by Vincent Crivello, who registered one goal. Crivello scored 15:05 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Hawkesbury. Bruno Cheff provided the assist. Hawkesbury also had goals scored by Damien Charette, Adriano Leone, Julien Denicourt, and Chris Smith, who scored one goal each. More assists for Hawkesbury came via Charles Levesque, Johnathan Kovacevic, Ryan Bunka, Joe Smith, Brett Everson, and Reid Murphy, who each chipped in one.

Ottawa's normally stingy defense allowed more goals than usual. The Senators average 2.5 goals allowed per game.

Ottawa was led by Jody Sullivan, who had one goal. Sullivan scored 14:44 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Hawkesbury. Luke McCaw assisted on the tally. Ottawa also got a goal from Jaren Burke as well. In addition, Ottawa received assists from Sean Rappleyea, Greg Meireles, and Jim Pearson, who contributed one each.

Cole Skinner made 24 saves for the Hawks on 26 shots. Hawkesbury incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Ian Andriano recorded 21 saves for the Senators. Ottawa incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
