The Ottawa Senators had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 4-1 win over the Nepean Raiders.

Nepean was stymied by Ottawa's netminder Ian Andriano, who stopped 28 shots during the victory. Andriano certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.49 entering the contest.

The Senators were led by Jody Sullivan, who racked up one goal and one assist. Sullivan scored 9:31 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Ottawa. Luke McCaw provided the assist.

Ottawa's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Nepean power plays. The Senators forced the Raiders goalie Francis Marotte to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots.

Ottawa additionally got points from Greg Meireles, who also had one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Ottawa included Brett Van Stralen and Jaren Burke, who each put in one. Ottawa incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Marotte rejected 28 shots on goal for the Raiders.
