Brett Nichol recorded a shutout against the Gloucester Rangers as the Cornwall Colts picked up an 8-0 win. Cornwall's defensive play was more effective than usual against Gloucester. The Colts gives up 3.0 goals on average per game. Cornwall kept the Rangers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Cedric Hansen made 38 saves on 46 shots. The Colts bested their season scoring average. This season, Cornwall averages 3.4 goals per contest. The Colts were helped by Nick Lalonde, who finished with one goal and two assists. Lalonde scored on the power play 15:05 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Cornwall. Cornwall had taken the advantage when Gloucester's Jordan Renaud got sent off for tripping.
