Alex Gilmour netted a hat trick to lead the Pembroke Lumber Kings over the Smiths Falls Bears, 4-2. Gilmour's first goal came 15:11 into the second period. He then added goals at 10:12 into the third and at 17:53 into the third.Mitchell Culver also scored for Pembroke. More assists for Pembroke came via Cale List, Derek Varrin, Tyler ONeill, Ben VanOoteghem, Adam Beveridge, and Brett Horn, who each chipped in one. Smiths Falls' offense rang up 31 shots on Pembroke's net. The Bears were helped by Brett Garvey, who registered one goal. Garvey scored 9:12 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Smiths Falls. Cole Busschaert assisted on the tally. Smiths Falls also got a goal from Chris MacMillan as well. Other players who recorded assists for Smiths Falls were Kevin Groulx, Sterling Bray, and Nicolas Coates, who contributed one each. Boyd Diclemente made 29 saves for the Lumber Kings on 31 shots. Pembroke incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Smiths Falls' Evan DeBrouwer stopped 26 shots out of the 29 that he faced. The Bears incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
