Lascelle stymies Nepean, Cornwall wins 4-1Ed Lumley Arena Sun, Dec 20, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
The Cornwall Colts relied on the sparkling performance of Liam Lascelle in net to grab a 4-1 win against the Nepean Raiders. Cornwall was led by Shawn Baird, who registered one goal. Baird scored 2:53 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Cornwall. Keegan Mulhearn provided the assist. Cornwall also got points from Mulhearn, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Cornwall included Tanner Spink and Jeremy McFarlane, who each put in one. More assists for Cornwall came via Parker Krol, who had two and Sebastian Dirven, David A Poirier, Justin McRae, and Brennan Markell, who each chipped in one. Nepean was led by Samuel Meisenheimer, who scored the team's only goal. Meisenheimer scored on the power play 17:29 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Cornwall. The Raiders had gotten the advantage when the Colts' Krol was sent off for holding. Lascelle rejected 25 shots on goal for Cornwall. The Colts incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Francis Marotte recorded 25 saves for Nepean. The Raiders incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Nepean ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Ugo Roik was ejected from the game.
