Felhaber leads Pembroke over Kanata, 8-4Pembroke Memorial Center Sun, Dec 20, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
The Pembroke Lumber Kings' Justin Felhaber had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing three assists in his team's 8-4 win over the Kanata Lasers. Felhaber found the back of the net short handed 6:11 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Pembroke and again while 6:15 into the third to make the score 7-3 Pembroke.Kanata's power play was ineffective against Pembroke's penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded. The Lumber Kings kept the Lasers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Evan Moyse made 49 saves on 57 shots. Pembroke found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. The Lumber Kings have scored at the pace of 2.9 goals per game during the current campaign. Pembroke also got points from Mitchell Culver, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Alex Gilmour, who also grabbed two goals and two assists. Kris Lalonde also scored for Pembroke. In addition, Pembroke received assists from Adam Beveridge, who had two and Chris Minns, Jesse Blais, Patrick Kyte, Tyler ONeill, and Brett Horn, who contributed one each. Kanata bested its season scoring average. The Lasers average 1.9 goal per game. Kanata was helped by Mike McArthur, who registered one goal. McArthur scored on the power play 19:00 into the first period to make the score 2-2. The Lasers had taken the advantage when Pembroke's Brandon Zullo got sent off for slashing. Louis-Charles Croteau picked up the assist. Kanata additionally got points from Croteau, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Kanata also had goals scored by Michael Locatelli and Jacob Balca, who scored one goal each. More assists for Kanata came via Yannick Martel, David Pearce, Nicholas Graveline, and Jacob Moreau, who each chipped in one. The Lumber Kings' Gabe Mollot-Hill stopped 16 shots out of the 20 that he faced. Pembroke incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Kanata incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
