The Carleton Place Canadians had trouble finding ways to stop the Ottawa Senators, which beat Canadians, 4-0. Carleton Place's power play was ineffective against Ottawa's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded. The Senators were led by Luke McCaw, who tallied one goal. McCaw scored 4:34 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Ottawa. Evan Lindquist assisted on the tally. Ottawa registered zero goals on two power play opportunities. For the Senators, Brett Van Stralen was ejected from the game. James Edwardson recorded 20 saves for Carleton Place. The Canadians ended with 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major. Carleton Place ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Braedyn Asselstine was ejected from the game.
