The Brockville Braves tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but the Carleton Place Canadians held on for an 8-6 victory. Carleton Place made the score 8-5 on a goal by Lucas Batt at 10:31 in the third period, and Brockville got as close as 8-6 when Tre Folkes scored 17:02 into the third period. Maxime StPierre was all over the ice for the Canadians, as he grabbed two goals in the win. StPierre scored at 8:40 into the second period to make the score 5-3 Carleton Place and again while 9:16 into the third to make the score 7-5 Carleton Place. Carleton Place forced the Braves' goalies to work without much rest, ripping 43 shots and forcing 35 saves. Henry Johnson made 34 stops and Michael Cerasuolo made one. The Canadians surpassed their usual scoring output this season. This season, Carleton Place averages 4.7 goals per contest. The Canadians were held back by their power play unit, which tallied one goal on 10 chances.
