Nepean downs Kanata, 4-1Kanata Recreational Complex Thu, Dec 03, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
Rory Garlasco tallied two points to lead the Nepean Raiders to a 4-1 victory over the Kanata Lasers. Nepean's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Kanata power plays. Nepean also got points from Derek Varrin, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Nepean also had goals scored by Justin Hess and PJ Heger, who each put in one. More assists for Nepean came via Justin Schebel, who had two and Ugo Roik and Samuel Meisenheimer, who each chipped in one. Kanata stifled the Raiders' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Lasers were led by Louis-Charles Croteau, who scored the team's only goal. Croteau scored 16:55 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Michael Locatelli assisted on the tally. Jack Ondrovic rejected 16 shots on goal for Nepean. The Raiders incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Evan Moyse recorded 18 saves for Kanata. The Lasers incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
