Pembroke wins tough contest against Ottawa, 4-3Pembroke Memorial Center Fri, Oct 23, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
The Pembroke Lumber Kings and the Ottawa Senators were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Pembroke made the most of its opportunities and won, 4-3. No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Brock Rumbaugh at 15:29 of the third period. The Lumber Kings were led by Rumbaugh, who had one goal. Pembroke's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Ottawa power plays. The Lumber Kings forced Ottawa goalie Ian Andriano to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots. Pembroke also got points from Colton Keuhl, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Pembroke also had goals scored by Jesse Blais and Brett Horn, who scored one goal each. In addition, Pembroke received assists from Fraser Turner, Chris Minns, Ryan Casselman, Nicolas Vlahos, Ben VanOoteghem, and Adam Beveridge, who contributed one each. The Senators were helped by Elie Boulerice, who registered one goal. Boulerice scored 3:16 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Pembroke. Sean Rappleyea assisted on the tally. The Lumber Kings incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Ottawa's Andriano stopped 30 shots out of the 34 that he faced. The Senators incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
