Cumberland rips Hawkesbury, 4-1Navan Memorial Centre Tue, Oct 20, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
The Hawkesbury Hawks had trouble finding ways to stop the Cumberland Grads, which beat Hawks, 4-1. Cumberland was led by Michael Larose, who tallied one goal and one assist. Larose scored on the power play 13:57 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Cumberland. The Grads had taken the advantage when Hawkesbury's Liam Manning got sent off for hooking. Adam Dauda assisted on the tally. Cumberland stifled the Hawks' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Grads kept Hawkesbury's goalie busy throughout the game, and Andrew Tucci made 30 saves on 34 shots. Cumberland additionally got points from Dauda, who also had one goal and one assist. Cumberland also had goals scored by Shawn Cameron and Ted McCabe, who scored one goal each. In addition, Cumberland received assists from Zackhary Salloum, who had two and Grant Hebert, Martin Frechette, and Benoit Villeneuve, who each chipped in one. The Hawks did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Hawkesbury puts an average of 3.6 pucks into the net per game. The Hawks were led by Brett Everson, who scored the team's only goal. Everson scored 10:41 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Cumberland. Chris Smith provided the assist. Ryan Coughlin rejected 24 shots on goal for Cumberland. The Grads incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Hawkesbury incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. |
