Blais nets hat trick, leads Pembroke to 4-1 win over Gloucester

Jesse Blais netted a hat trick to lead the Pembroke Lumber Kings over the Gloucester Rangers, 4-1.

Blais notched his first tally 18:51 into the second period. He then added goals at 4:02 into the third and at 19:51 into the third.

Pembroke excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Gloucester was unable to stop the Lumber Kings from sending pucks towards the net, and Pembroke eventually piled up 36 shots on goal.

Colton Keuhl also scored for Pembroke. In addition, Pembroke received assists from Brandon Zullo, who had three and Chris Minns, Nicolas Vlahos, Brock Rumbaugh, Ben VanOoteghem, and Adam Beveridge, who each chipped in one.

The Rangers were led by Dan Martin, who scored the team's only goal. Martin scored 1:00 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Gloucester. Drew Shields assisted on the tally.

Sean Green made 20 saves for the Lumber Kings on 21 shots. Pembroke incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Doug Johnston rejected 32 shots on goal for Gloucester. The Rangers incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
