The Cornwall Colts were firing on all cylinders against the Hawkesbury Hawks, and when the final buzzer sounded Colts emerged with a 4-1 win.

Cornwall's James Edwardson was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 27 saves and let only one puck past him. The solid play of Edwardson will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 2.64.

The Colts were led by Tanner Spink, who grabbed one goal. Spink scored on the power play 7:27 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Cornwall. A slashing penalty on Jonathan Cyr had put Cornwall on the power play. Tristan Elie assisted on the tally.

Cornwall also got points from Nick Lalonde, who also registered one goal and one assist and Lawson MacDougall, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Matthew Morin also scored for Cornwall. Other players who recorded assists for Cornwall were Ross Craig, who had one.

Hawkesbury's offense operated below its season average. The Hawks average 3.6 goals per game.

Hawkesbury was led by Julien Denicourt, who scored the team's only goal. Denicourt scored on the power play 2:49 into the first period to make the score 1-1. The Hawks earned a power play opportunity when Craig was put in the box for high sticking. Charles Levesque provided the assist.

The Colts incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. James Hack recorded 11 saves for Hawkesbury. The Hawks incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
