The Carleton Place Canadians' Marcus Joseph had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing three assists in his team's 8-2 win over the Pembroke Lumber Kings. Joseph's tallies came at 16:57 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Carleton Place and on the power play 1:04 into the second to make the score 5-1 Carleton Place.Pembroke was doomed by its poor performance on special teams, as Carleton Place was able to score four times while on the power play. The Canadians bested their season scoring average. Carleton Place has scored at the pace of 4.5 goals per game during the current campaign. The Canadians got an offensive boost from their blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game. Carleton Place could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 26 minutes in penalties during the game. The Lumber Kings' starting goalie, Sean Green, made 11 saves and finished with the loss before he was taken out in favor of Gabe Mollot-Hill, who stopped nine shots. Pembroke incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
