Brockville beats Nepean 2-0 as Johnson gains shutout

Henry Johnson was superb between the pipes for the Brockville Braves, as he did not allow a goal in a 2-0 victory over the Nepean Raiders.

Brockville was led by Neil Robinson, who finished with one goal and one assist. Robinson scored short handed 18:33 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Brockville. The Braves played down a man on Kyle Orgel's slashing. Jack Billings assisted on the tally.

Brockville excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. The Braves featured an improved defense during the game. Brockville allows 2.3 goals per game. The Braves kept Nepean's goalie busy throughout the game, and Francis Marotte made 43 saves on 45 shots.

Brockville also got a goal from Jack Gill as well. More assists for Brockville came via Vincenzo Renda and Sam Jones, who each chipped in one.

The Raiders' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Brockville power plays. Nepean was held below its usual level of production. The Raiders put an average of 2.5 pucks into the net per game.

Henry Johnson made 25 saves for Brockville on 25 shots. The Braves incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Nepean incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
