The Gloucester Rangers tried to dig themselves out of a five-goal hole, but the Carleton Place Canadians held on for a 5-3 victory. Carleton Place made the score 5-0 on a goal by Maxime StPierre at 19:39 in the second period, and Gloucester got as close as 5-3 when Jahwara Rennalls scored 19:27 into the third period. Jordan Larson had one goal and two assists to lead the Canadians. Larson scored 7:48 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Carleton Place. Lucas Batt assisted on the tally. The Rangers were unable to stop Carleton Place from sending pucks towards the net, and the Canadians eventually piled up 44 shots on goal. The defensemen of Carleton Place were also effective in Gloucester's zone, and came away with two goals. Others who scored for Carleton Place included Owen Grant and Matt Lombardozzi, who each put in one. More assists for Carleton Place came via Nicolas Carrier, Connor Merkley, Vinny Post, Andrew Dodson, and Tim Theochardis, who contributed one each. Gloucester incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
