Thunder AAA Hockey failed to take advantage of its power play opportunities and Victory Honda (mm) shook off a number of penalties to win, 5-1. Victory Honda (mm) was sparked by Josh Albring, who racked up one goal. Albring scored 17:29 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Victory Honda (mm). Brock Morganroth picked up the assist. Victory Honda (mm) put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Thunder AAA Hockey to score on any of its six power plays. Victory Honda (mm)'s offense rang up 46 shots on Thunder AAA Hockey's net. Victory Honda (mm) additionally got points from Cade Lambdin, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Victory Honda (mm) also had goals scored by Joshua Wildauer, Nolan Moyle, and Chase Danol, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Victory Honda (mm) were Adam Steinwold, Ron Attard, Jed Pietila, and Blake Tosto, who contributed one each. Thunder AAA Hockey's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Victory Honda (mm) power plays. Victory Honda (mm)'s defense shut down Thunder AAA Hockey's forwards for much of the game, and Thunder AAA Hockey got off only 14 shots during the contest. Thunder AAA Hockey was led by Bryce Pierce, who scored the team's only goal. Pierce scored 15:57 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Kerry Kruzel assisted on the tally. Adrian Morales recorded 13 saves for Victory Honda (mm). Victory Honda (mm) incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Neven Dyer made 41 saves for Thunder AAA Hockey on 46 shots. Thunder AAA Hockey incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Thunder AAA Hockey ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and David Dedo was ejected from the game.
