The Uxbridge Bruins' Daryl Thomson had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing two assists in his team's 5-1 win over the North Kawartha Knights.

Thomson got on the board by slotting home a goal 41 seconds into the third period to make the score 2-1 Uxbridge. Jordan Nesbitt picked up the assist. Thomson dished an assist on Patrick Bolahood's goal that made the score 3-1 Uxbridge at 1:25 into the third period. He added another helper on Alex Siblock's goal that made the score 5-1 Uxbridge at 10:23 into the third period.

Uxbridge's penalty kill excelled, as the Bruins gave up zero goals despite allowing eight power plays.

Uxbridge forced Knights' netminders to work between the pipes, totaling 41 shots and forcing 36 saves. Jake Ireland made 24 stops and Spencer Green made 12. The Bruins stifled North Kawartha's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Uxbridge could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 28 minutes in penalties during the game.

More assists for Uxbridge came via Thomas Swift, who had one and Marco Mastrangelo, who had three.

The Knights could not produce up to their normal offensive output. North Kawartha puts an average of 3.1 pucks into the net per game.

The Knights were led by Shane Patterson, who scored the team's only goal. Patterson scored 4:07 into the first period to make the score 1-0 North Kawartha. Christian Lachapelle provided the assist.

The Bruins' Jake Joosten stopped 19 shots out of the 20 that he faced. Uxbridge registered zero goals on two power play opportunities. North Kawartha incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
