The Clarington Eagles survived a determined comeback attempt by the Port Perry Mojacks on the way to a 5-4 win.

A goal by Cody Kean put Clarington up 5-2 in the third period, but Port Perry pulled to within one on Kyle Schweda's tally 18:07 into the third period.

Kean had a great game for the Eagles, netting two goals.

Clarington kept the Mojacks' goalie busy throughout the game, and Brett Chandler made 37 saves on 42 shots.

Clarington additionally got points from Justin Holiad, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Clarington included Liam Rowe and Kevin Smith, who scored one goal each. More assists for Clarington came via Mackenzie Morissette, who had two and Dan Michel, Patrick McAuliffe, Collin Weston, and Mark Gavrilov, who contributed one each.

Port Perry forced the Eagles goalie Zack Wainman to work between the pipes, taking 47 shots.

Port Perry also got a goal from Mitchell Gustavsen as well. In addition, Port Perry received assists from Konrad Piorkowski, who had two and Dan Harris, Ethan Ramsden, Liam Schweda, Connor MacEachern, and Lucas Clark, who each chipped in one.

Wainman recorded 43 saves for Clarington. The Eagles incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. The Mojacks incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
