The Uxbridge Bruins pulled out a 5-4 (OT) overtime victory over the North Kawartha Knights on a clutch goal by Patrick Bolahood. The teams traded the lead four times and neither team could skate away and hide. North Kawartha took its last lead at 13:17 in the second on a power play goal by Braden MacDonald to make the score 4-3 the Knights. Uxbridge took over the lead for good with a goal by Bolahood 1:20 into the fourth to make the score 5-4. Bolahood was all over the ice for the Bruins, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Bolahood scored the first of his two goals at 7:16 into the third period to make the score 4-4. Thomas Swift picked up the assist. Bolahood's next tally made the score 5-4 Uxbridge with 18:40 left in overtime. Nicholas Sribny provided the assist. Uxbridge could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 28 minutes in penalties during the game. Uxbridge additionally got points from Quintino Zarlenga, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Uxbridge included Brett Thomson and Daryl Thomson, who scored one goal each. In addition, Uxbridge received assists from Coby Gardner, Aiden Reilly, Alex Siblock, and Brady Baker, who each chipped in one. North Kawartha's offense rang up 33 shots on the Bruins' net. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals. North Kawartha also got points from Russell Fontyn, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. North Kawartha also had goals scored by Shawn Brown and Jesse Douglas, who each put in one. More assists for North Kawartha came via Shane Patterson, who had two and Zack Pearson and Connor Gourlie, who contributed one each. Jake Joosten recorded 29 saves for Uxbridge. The Bruins registered one goal on three power play opportunities. For Uxbridge, Ryan Miehm was ejected from the game. The Knights' Anthony Bertucca APM stopped 24 shots out of the 29 that he faced. North Kawartha incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
