Port Perry blows out Little Britain, 7-3

The Port Perry Mojacks had a four-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 7-3 win over the Little Britain Merchants.

Konrad Piorkowski quarterbacked Port Perry's offense to perfection and bagged four assists in the Mojacks' win over Little Britain.

The Merchants fell victim to a deadly Port Perry power play, which ripped Little Britain for five goals.

The Mojacks kept the Merchants' goalie busy throughout the game, and Garrett Haden made 49 saves on 56 shots. Port Perry surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Mojacks average 4.2 goals per game.

Port Perry additionally got points from Mitchell Gustavsen, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Port Perry also had goals scored by Graham Lamers and Connor MacEachern, who each put in two and Chris Polito and Liam Schweda, who scored one goal each. More assists for Port Perry came via Todd McNair, Kyle Schweda, and Lucas Clark, who contributed two each.

Little Britain was often in penalty trouble, totaling 15 minors and one major for 35 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 24.0 minutes per game the Merchants had been spending in the box. Little Britain forced Port Perry goalie Brett Chandler to work between the pipes, taking 40 shots.

The Merchants were helped by Aidan Renouf, who registered one goal and one assist. Renouf scored on the power play 8:26 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Little Britain had gotten the advantage when the Mojacks' Schweda was sent off for high sticking. Jesse Craig provided the assist. Little Britain also got points from Craig, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Little Britain also got a goal from Terry Snoddon as well. In addition, Little Britain received assists from Jordan Sharpe, who had one.

Chandler rejected 37 shots on goal for Port Perry. The Mojacks incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with 11 minors. The Merchants registered two goals on eight power play opportunities. Team's Craig and Derek Risebrough were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game.
