North Kawartha rebounded from a two-goal deficit to tie Lakefield, 2-2 (OT).

The Chiefs put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Knights to score on any of their three power plays. Lakefield kept North Kawartha's goalie busy throughout the game, and Jake Ireland made 46 saves on 48 shots.

The Chiefs were helped by Taylor Hoogwerf, who registered one goal. Hoogwerf scored 6:59 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Lakefield. Nick Hildebrand picked up the assist. Lakefield also got a goal from Aaron Vatcher as well.

The Knights incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Michael Christie made 22 saves for Lakefield on 24 shots. The Chiefs incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
