The Uxbridge Bruins took the lead against the Port Perry Mojacks in the first period and maintained it until the end of the game to secure a tight 1-0 victory.

A goal 7:47 into the first period by Coby Gardner proved to be the game winner, and powered Uxbridge to the victory. Ryan Miehm provided the assist.

Branden Francey spearheaded the defensive effort for the Bruins, as he did not allow a puck past him and made 41 saves for the shutout. Francey managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 3.15 prior to the game.

Uxbridge was paced by Gardner, who had one goal.

The Bruins stifled Port Perry's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Uxbridge did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season.
