The Little Britain Merchants tried their best to erase a two-goal deficit, but the Uxbridge Bruins would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 5-4. Uxbridge made the score 4-2 on a goal by Marco Mastrangelo at 17:35 in the second period, and Little Britain got as close as 4-3 when Terry Snoddon scored 6:24 into the third period. The Bruins got the win thanks to a great game by Mastrangelo, who had two goals and two assists. Mastrangelo scored the first of his two goals at 18:40 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Uxbridge. Jordan Nesbitt assisted on the tally. Mastrangelo's next tally made the score 4-2 Uxbridge with 2:25 left in the second period. Uxbridge had gotten the advantage when the Merchants' Mitchell Brown was sent off for tripping. Shane Smith picked up the assist. The Bruins forced Little Britain goalie Garrett Haden to work between the pipes, taking 40 shots. Uxbridge could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 36 minutes in penalties during the game. Uxbridge also got points from Daryl Thomson, who also had one goal and two assists and Smith, who also finished with one goal and two assists. Nicholas Sribny also scored for Uxbridge. Other players who recorded assists for Uxbridge were Adam Bartholomew, Aiden Reilly, and Patrick Bolahood, who contributed one each. The Bruins were unable to stop the Merchants from sending pucks towards the net, and Little Britain eventually piled up 35 shots on goal. The Merchants were forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as they racked up 28 penalty minutes. Little Britain was led by Michael Cox, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Cox scored on the power play 12:20 into the third period to make the score 4-4. The Merchants earned a power play opportunity when Reilly was put in the box for roughing. Hayden Long provided the assist. Little Britain additionally got points from Snoddon, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Nathan Watson, who also registered one goal and one assist. Little Britain also got a goal from Reed Westington as well. In addition, Little Britain received assists from Owen Fawns, Kenzie Smith, and Derek Risebrough, who each chipped in one. Uxbridge's Branden Francey stopped 31 shots out of the 35 that he faced. The Bruins registered one goal on six power play opportunities. Garrett Haden made 35 saves for Little Britain on 40 shots. The Merchants registered one goal on five power play opportunities.
