The Uxbridge Bruins survived a determined comeback attempt by the Port Perry Mojacks on the way to a 5-3 win. A goal by Aiden Reilly put Uxbridge up 5-2 in the third period, but Port Perry pulled to within two on Mitchell Gustavsen's tally 9:14 into the third period. Shane Smith had a great game for the Bruins, netting two goals. Smith's tallies came on the power play at 13:04 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Uxbridge and on the power play 17:04 into the first to make the score 3-1 Uxbridge. Uxbridge also got points from Adam Bartholomew, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Alex Siblock also scored for Uxbridge. In addition, Uxbridge received assists from Marco Mastrangelo, who had one, Jordan Nesbitt, who had three, and Coby Gardner and Daryl Thomson, who each chipped in two. Uxbridge was unable to stop the Mojacks from sending pucks towards the net, and Port Perry eventually piled up 39 shots on goal. Team could not crack the Bruins' penalty kill and was held to two power play goals while having 10 opportunities to play with the man advantage. The Mojacks were helped by Liam Schweda, who racked up one goal. Schweda scored on the power play 18:32 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Uxbridge. A roughing penalty on Quintino Zarlenga had put Port Perry on the power play. Graham Lamers provided the assist. Port Perry also got a goal from Lucas Berkers as well. More assists for Port Perry came via Lucas Clark, who had one and Jeff St. Pierre, who had two. Jake Joosten recorded 36 saves for Uxbridge. The Bruins incurred 24 minutes in penalty time with 12 minors. For Uxbridge, Brady Baker was ejected from the game. The Mojacks' Blake Shaw stopped 22 shots out of the 27 that he faced. Port Perry incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
