Port Perry falls to Little Britain after surprising comeback

The Little Britain Merchants rallied from two goals down to secure a 4-3 win over the Port Perry Mojacks.

Little Britain never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Merchants trailed 2-0 after a goal by Port Perry's Graham Lamers at 16:08 in the first period. Little Britain knotted things up at 3-3 on a goal by Kenzie Smith at 11:58 in the third period. The Merchants netted the game winner at 18:27 in the third period on a goal by Smith.

Little Britain was sparked by Nathan Watson, who tallied one goal.

The Merchants excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.

Others who scored for Little Britain included Blake Abbott and Michael Cox, who each put in one. More assists for Little Britain came via Hayden Long, who had two and Terry Snoddon, Owen Fawns, Phil Koufis, Derek Risebrough, and Mark Harris, who contributed one each.

Little Britain was unable to stop the Mojacks from sending pucks towards the net, and Port Perry eventually piled up 36 shots on goal.

Port Perry also had goals scored by Lucas Berkers and Chris Polito, who scored one goal each. In addition, Port Perry received assists from Mitchell Gustavsen, Kyle Schweda, Konrad Piorkowski, Jeff St. Pierre, and Lucas Clark, who each chipped in one.

Garrett Haden rejected 33 shots on goal for the Merchants. Little Britain incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. For the Merchants, Mitchell Brown was ejected from the game. The Mojacks' Blake Shaw stopped 23 shots out of the 27 that he faced. Port Perry incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
