Justin Holiad gave the Clarington Eagles a 5-4 (OT) victory over the Uxbridge Bruins when he scored 4:04 into the extra period. Clarington came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Eagles trailed 2-0 after a goal by Uxbridge's Nicholas Sribny at 8:05 in the second period. Clarington knotted things up at 4-4 on a goal by Sribny at 18:04 in the third period. With three goals and two assists between them, Liam Rowe and Patrick McAuliffe teamed up to power the Eagles' offense. Rowe racked up two goals and McAuliffe also added one goal and two assists. Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 17:59 into the second period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with two game misconducts. Clarington stifled the Bruins' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Uxbridge was unable to stop the Eagles from sending pucks towards the net, and Clarington eventually piled up 37 shots on goal. Clarington additionally got points from McAuliffe, who also tallied one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Clarington also got a goal from Brent Hambly as well. In addition, Clarington received assists from Cody Kean, who had two and Mackenzie Morissette, Dylan Howorko, and Brodie Myers, who each chipped in one. The Bruins forced their penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up nine minors and one major for 43 minutes in penalty time. Uxbridge surpassed its season average of 33.0 penalty minutes per game. The Bruins forced the Eagles goalie Zack Wainman to work between the pipes, taking 40 shots. Uxbridge also had goals scored by Daryl Thomson and Brady Baker, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Uxbridge were Shane Smith, Aiden Reilly, Marco Mastrangelo, and Patrick Bolahood, who contributed one each. Wainman rejected 36 shots on goal for Clarington. The Eagles totaled 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 2-for-9 on the power play. Clarington ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Mitchell Marchbank was ejected from the game. Branden Francey made 32 saves for Uxbridge on 37 shots. The Bruins registered zero goals on three power play opportunities. For Uxbridge, Coby Gardner, Baker, and Thomas Sheedy were ejected from the contest.
