The Port Perry Mojacks had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-2 win over the North Kawartha Knights. North Kawartha's power play was ineffective against Port Perry's penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded. Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 8:26 into the third period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with two game misconducts. The Mojacks were often in penalty trouble, totaling eight minors and one major for 41 minutes in penalty time. Port Perry had been averaging 24.0 minutes in penalties per game. The Mojacks' offense rang up 36 shots on the Knights' net. Port Perry was led by Graham Lamers, who grabbed two goals. Lamers scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 18:22 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Port Perry. The Mojacks had gained a power play chance when Nick Mann was whistled for abuse of officials. Lucas Clark assisted on the tally. Lamers' next tally on the power play made the score 5-2 Port Perry with 3:31 left in the third period. Clark provided the assist. Port Perry also had goals scored by Jordan McCullough, Chris Polito, and Jeff St. Pierre, who each put in one. In addition, Port Perry received assists from Konrad Piorkowski, who had two and Dan Harris, Quinn Bryant-McKay, Andrew Pickering, Todd McNair, and Bryce Patterson, who each chipped in one. North Kawartha's penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled six minors and one major for 67 minutes in penalty time. The Knights surpassed its season average of 27.0 penalty minutes per game. North Kawartha was helped by Cameron Medland, who finished with one goal and one assist. Medland scored on the power play 12:46 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Port Perry. The Knights earned a power play opportunity when McCullough was put in the box for goalie interference. Russell Fontyn picked up the assist. North Kawartha also got points from Fontyn, who also registered one goal and one assist. More assists for North Kawartha came via Jesse Douglas, who had one. Port Perry's Blake Shaw stopped 19 shots out of the 21 that he faced. The Mojacks registered two goals on four power play opportunities. For Port Perry, Lucas Berkers was ejected from the game. Spencer Green rejected 31 shots on goal for North Kawartha. The Knights ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Mitch Stewart was ejected from the game.
