The Clarington Eagles tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but the Port Perry Mojacks held on for a 4-2 victory. Port Perry made the score 4-1 on a goal by Graham Lamers at 17:28 in the second period, and Clarington got as close as 4-2 when Cody Kean scored 18:45 into the third period. The Mojacks' penalty kill excelled, as Port Perry gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays. The Mojacks were helped by Jordan McCullough, who registered one goal. McCullough scored 9:23 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Port Perry. Ben Sheremeta provided the assist. Port Perry also got a goal from Kyle Schweda as well. More assists for Port Perry came via Lucas Berkers, Ethan Ramsden, Ryan Bernardes, Jeff St. Pierre, and Lucas Clark, who each chipped in one. The Eagles could not produce up to their normal offensive output. Clarington averages 5.7 goals per game. The Eagles kept Port Perry's goalie busy throughout the game, and Blake Shaw made 32 saves on 34 shots. In addition, Clarington received assists from William Lamoureux, who had one. The Mojacks incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Quinton MacArthur APM made 21 saves for Clarington on 25 shots. The Eagles incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
