Little Britain survives Uxbridge comeback, wins 2-1

The Uxbridge Bruins tried their best to erase a two-goal deficit, but the Little Britain Merchants would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 2-1.

A goal by Aidan Renouf put Little Britain up 2-0 in the first period, but Uxbridge pulled to within one on Alex Siblock's tally 13:38 into the third period.

Renouf had a great game for the Merchants, netting two goals.

Little Britain stifled the Bruins' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Uxbridge was unable to stop the Merchants from sending pucks towards the net, and Little Britain eventually piled up 36 shots on goal. The Merchants could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 26 minutes in penalties during the game.

In addition, Little Britain received assists from Kenzie Smith, who had two and Terry Snoddon and Michael Cox, who each chipped in one.

The Bruins' offense operated below their season average. Uxbridge averages 3.4 goals per game. The Bruins' offense rang up 41 shots on Little Britain's net. Uxbridge could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 26 minutes in penalties during the game.

Adam Harris recorded 40 saves for the Merchants. Little Britain registered one goal on four power play opportunities. Jake Joosten rejected 34 shots on goal for the Bruins. Uxbridge registered zero goals on five power play opportunities.
