Branden Francey stood on his head and made 30 saves to lead the Uxbridge Bruins to a 5-1 victory over the Georgina Ice.

Uxbridge pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 20 penalty minutes.

The Bruins were led by Jordan Nesbitt, who racked up one goal and one assist. Nesbitt scored 16:51 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Uxbridge. Shane Smith picked up the assist.

Uxbridge excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in 10 chances. The Bruins' offense rang up 40 shots on Georgina's net. The defensemen of Uxbridge were also effective in the Ice's zone, and came away with three goals.

Uxbridge also got points from Marco Mastrangelo, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Ryan Miehm, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Thomas Sheedy, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Uxbridge also got a goal from Thomas Swift as well. More assists for Uxbridge came via Aiden Reilly, Patrick Bolahood, Wes Cowie, and Brady Baker, who contributed one each.

Georgina's offense rang up 31 shots on the Bruins' net.

The Ice were led by Mark Gavrilov, who scored the team's only goal. Gavrilov scored 17:42 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Cole Turner assisted on the tally.

Uxbridge registered one goal on five power play opportunities. Emilio Gallenero recorded 35 saves for Georgina. The Ice incurred 30 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
