Behind a great game by Cody Kean, who had one goal and four assists, the Clarington Eagles defeated the Georgina Ice, 6-1.

Kean scored 15:24 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Clarington. Mitchell Marchbank picked up the assist. Kean dished an assist on Marchbank's goal that made the score 1-0 Clarington at 12:48 into the first period. He then added assists on Liam Rowe's goal at 18:53 into the first, on Brent Hambly's goal at 12:26 into the second, and on Dylan Howorko's goal at 13:54 into the third.

Clarington's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Georgina power plays. The Eagles kept Georgina's goalie busy throughout the game, and Grant Campbell made 32 saves on 38 shots. The defensemen of Clarington were also effective in the Ice's zone, and came away with three goals.

Clarington additionally got points from Marchbank, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Rowe, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, and Hambly, who also finished with one goal and one assist. In addition, Clarington received assists from William Lamoureux, who had two and Jordan Neuman and Collin Weston, who contributed one each.

Georgina struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as it finished the game with 26 penalty minutes for six opposing power plays.

Mark Robb recorded 18 saves for the Eagles. Clarington incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Team's Matt McGlade and Bronson Smith were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game.
