Port Perry rolls over Uxbridge, 6-0

The Uxbridge Bruins had trouble finding ways to stop the Port Perry Mojacks, which beat Bruins, 6-0.

Uxbridge's power play was ineffective against Port Perry's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

The Mojacks were led by Graham Lamers, who finished with one goal and one assist. Lamers scored 6:13 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Port Perry. Lucas Clark provided the assist.

Port Perry excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in 10 chances. The Mojacks featured an improved defense during the game. Port Perry averages 2.1 goals allowed per game.

Port Perry additionally got points from Ethan Ramsden, who also had one goal and one assist and Clark, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Port Perry included Jordan McCullough, Chris Polito, and Jeff St. Pierre, who scored one goal each. In addition, Port Perry received assists from Konrad Piorkowski, who had two and Andrew Pickering and Bryce Patterson, who each chipped in one.

The Bruins did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Uxbridge averages 3.8 goals per game.

Cooper Howieson made 10 saves before being replaced by Blake Shaw, who took the win and made 17 saves. The Mojacks incurred 40 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors. The Bruins' Branden Francey stopped 23 shots out of the 29 that he faced. Uxbridge incurred 24 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. The Bruins ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Quintino Zarlenga was ejected from the game.
