The Uxbridge Bruins gutted out a close 7-5 win against the Little Britain Merchants. Uxbridge gained the winning advantage on a goal by Shane Smith 12:12 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer. The Bruins got the win behind a great game by Smith, who had two goals and one assist. Uxbridge racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with 11 minors and one major for 47 minutes in penalty time. The Bruins had been averaging 40.0 minutes in penalties per game. Little Britain was unable to stop Uxbridge from sending pucks towards the net, and the Bruins eventually piled up 41 shots on goal. Uxbridge outdid its season average for goals scored.
