Little Britain rolls over Georgina, 8-1

The Georgina Ice had trouble finding ways to stop the Little Britain Merchants, which beat Ice, 8-1.

Little Britain got the win on the strength of a great game by Terry Snoddon, who had one goal and three assists. Snoddon scored 5:25 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Little Britain. Kenzie Smith assisted on the tally.

Georgina's power play was ineffective against the Merchants' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

Little Britain forced the Ice's goalies to work between the pipes, getting 32 shots and forcing 24 saves. Emilio Gallenero made 16 stops and Grant Campbell made eight. The Merchants stifled Georgina's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Little Britain found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. The Merchants have scored at the pace of 4.0 goals per game during the current campaign.

Little Britain also got points from Aidan Renouf, who also grabbed one goal and three assists to lead the team in points and Smith, who also registered two goals and one assist. Others who scored for Little Britain included Derek Risebrough, who had two and Hayden Long and Owen Fawns, who scored one goal each. In addition, Little Britain received assists from Phil Koufis, who had two and Mitchell Brown, Nathan Watson, Keegan Cairns, Mark Harris, and Michael Cox, who each chipped in one.

Bronson Smith also scored for Georgina. More assists for Georgina came via Dustin Brillinger and Tanner Tomlinson, who contributed one each.

Adam Harris rejected 22 shots on goal for Little Britain. The Merchants incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. The Ice incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
