Huge game by Vatcher boosts Lakefield over Georgina, 6-4Ennismore Recreation Complex Tue, Sep 15, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
Aaron Vatcher was all over the ice for the Lakefield Chiefs, as he tallied four goals and one assist in Lakefield's 6-4 win over the Georgina Ice. Vatcher notched his first tally 3:40 into the first period. He then added goals at 11:29 into the second, at 1:14 into the third, and at 11:36 into the third.Georgina was unable to stop the Chiefs from sending pucks towards the net, and Lakefield eventually piled up 38 shots on goal. Lakefield also got points from Brady Osborne AP, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Jeff Hawthorne also scored for Lakefield. Other players who recorded assists for Lakefield were Josh Duggan, Jordan MacLean, Keenan Runnalls, Eric Oosting, and Jack Vautour, who each chipped in one. The Ice were led by Mark Gavrilov, who racked up two goals and one assist. Gavrilov scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 19:53 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Lakefield. A hooking penalty on Oosting had put Georgina on the power play. Ryan Baggs assisted on the tally. Gavrilov's next tally on the power play made the score 4-3 Lakefield with 16:48 left in the third period. Others who scored for Georgina included Bradley Boudreau and Jesse Noris-King AP, who each put in one. In addition, Georgina received assists from Chris Mitchell AP, Dustin Brillinger, and Tanner Tomlinson, who contributed one each. The Chiefs' Brad Smith stopped 20 shots out of the 24 that he faced. Lakefield incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Emilio Gallenero made 32 saves for the Ice on 38 shots. Georgina incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
