The Wellington Dukes relied on the scoring touch of Dylan Mascarin, who netted two goals, to beat the Markham Royals, 6-3.

Markham was unable to stop Wellington from sending pucks towards the net, and the Dukes eventually piled up 47 shots on goal. Wellington found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. The Dukes average 3.7 goals per game. Wellington's penalty kill was ineffective, and let in two goals to the Royals' power play unit.

Wellington additionally got points from Justin Bean, who also tallied one goal and two assists. Others who scored for Wellington included Nicolas Mucci, Ben Sokay, and Matt Adams, who each put in one. More assists for Wellington came via Jacob Panetta, who had two, Luc Brown, who had four, and Chase St Aubin and William Ward, who each chipped in one.
