Fargey's big game bests Whitby in 4-0 Trenton win

Hunter Fargey had two goals and two assists to lead the Trenton Golden Hawks to a 4-0 victory over the Whitby Fury.

Fargey scored at 5:45 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Trenton and again while 8:58 into the second to make the score 3-0 Trenton.

Trenton managed to stay out of the box better than usual, tallying one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Golden Hawks finished below its season average of 13.0 penalty minutes per game. Whitby was unable to stop Trenton from sending pucks towards the net, and the Golden Hawks eventually piled up 40 shots on goal.

Trenton additionally got points from Mitch Emerson, who also racked up two goals and two assists. Other players who recorded assists for Trenton were Danny Hanlon, who had two and Brandon Marinelli and Josh Allan, who contributed one each.

The Fury did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Whitby averages 3.2 goals per game.

Daniel Urbani made 18 saves for Trenton on 18 shots. The Golden Hawks registered one goal on two power play opportunities. The Fury's Daniel Mannella stopped 36 shots out of the 39 that he faced. Whitby incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
