Toronto Jr. Canadiens rolls over Mississauga, 5-1

The Toronto Jr. Canadiens Junior Canadiens had a four-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-1 win over the Mississauga Chargers.

Michael Siddall had one goal and two assists to lead Toronto Jr. Canadiens. Siddall scored on the power play 17:28 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Toronto Jr. Canadiens. The Junior Canadiens had gotten the advantage when Mississauga's Francesco Luca was sent off for head contact. Nicholas Ursitti picked up the assist.

Toronto Jr. Canadiens' Brendan Bonello was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 34 saves and let only one puck past him. Bonello certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 3.76 entering the contest.

The Chargers were unable to stop the Junior Canadiens from sending pucks towards the net, and Toronto Jr. Canadiens eventually piled up 42 shots on goal. The Junior Canadiens' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

Toronto Jr. Canadiens also got points from Ursitti, who also had two goals and two assists to lead the team in points. Toronto Jr. Canadiens also had goals scored by Cody Symonds and Gianfranco Cassaro, who each put in one. In addition, Toronto Jr. Canadiens received assists from David Zeppieri, who had one and Connor Beck, who had two.

Mississauga forced Toronto Jr. Canadiens goalie Bonello to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots.

The Junior Canadiens incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Tyler Richardson rejected 37 shots on goal for the Chargers. Mississauga incurred 23 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
