Fargey's goals lift Trenton to 5-2 victory over Kingston

The Trenton Golden Hawks relied on the scoring touch of Hunter Fargey, who netted two goals, to beat the Kingston Voyageurs, 5-2.

Fargey's tallies came at 6:07 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Trenton and 5:11 into the third to make the score 3-1 Trenton.

Trenton kept Kingston's goalie busy throughout the game, and David Richer made 31 saves on 36 shots.

Trenton additionally got points from Mitch Emerson, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Trenton included Jordan Chard and Quinn Lenihan, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Trenton were Keaton Ratcliffe and Nick Boddy, who contributed one each and Blayne Oliver, Jordan DaSilva, and Danny Hanlon, who each chipped in two.

The Voyageurs excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances.

Kingston was helped by Connor Bebb, who tallied two goals. Bebb scored the first of his two goals at 18:08 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Trenton. Jacob Hanlon assisted on the tally. Bebb's next tally made the score 3-2 Trenton with 13:48 left in the third period. Hanlon picked up the assist. In addition, Kingston received assists from Matthew Lourenco and Jakob Brahaney, who contributed one each.

Daniel Urbani recorded 23 saves for the Golden Hawks. Trenton incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. The Voyageurs incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
