Toronto Patriots takes care of Milton early, wins 10-1

The Toronto Patriots Patriots jumped out to a four-point advantage by the end of the first period and beat the Milton Icehawks, 10-1.

Nick Stuckless was all over the ice for Toronto Patriots, as he tallied two goals in the win. Stuckless scored at 12:40 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Toronto Patriots and again while 11:33 into the second to make the score 5-0 Toronto Patriots.

The Patriots' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Milton power plays. Toronto Patriots forced Milton goalie Jakob DeVincentis to work between the pipes, taking 46 shots. The Patriots surpassed their usual scoring output this season. Toronto Patriots has scored at the pace of 3.1 goals per game during the current campaign. The Patriots got an offensive boost from their blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

Toronto Patriots also got points from Mario Ferraro, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Jake Harris, who also had one goal and three assists, Michael Siddall, who also registered three goals and two assists to lead the team in points, Logan Blaser, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Colton Kalezic, who also finished with one goal and one assist, and Jeremy Pullara, who also tallied one goal and one assist. In addition, Toronto Patriots received assists from Nicholas Ursitti, who had two, Louis DiMatteo, who had four, and Connor Beck and Cole Purboo, who contributed one each.

The Icehawks managed to stay out of the box better than usual, totaling one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Milton finished below its season average of 16.0 penalty minutes per game. The Icehawks' offense rang up 38 shots on Toronto Patriots' net.

Andrew Petrucci also scored for Milton. Other players who recorded assists for Milton were Jeff Lindsay and Devin Pierce, who each chipped in one.

Sean OReilly made 37 saves for the Patriots on 38 shots. Toronto Patriots incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Milton's DeVincentis stopped 36 shots out of the 46 that he faced.
