Orangeville falls to Oakville in overtime, 5-4 (OT)

Josh Kosack gave the Oakville Blades a 5-4 (OT) victory over the Orangeville Flyers when he scored 33 seconds into the extra period.

Oakville got the win behind a great game by Kosack, who had two goals and two assists. Kosack scored the first of his two goals at 19:30 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Brayden Sampson provided the assist. Kosack's next tally made the score 5-4 Oakville with 19:27 left in. Patrick Kudla picked up the assist.

The Blades' offense rang up 33 shots on Orangeville's net.

Oakville also had goals scored by Oliver Benwell, Drew Worrad, and Christian Rajic, who each put in one. In addition, Oakville received assists from Tyler Rollo, who had three and Brendan Doherty, Peyton Reeves, and Ryan Garvey, who contributed one each.

Oakville was unable to stop the Flyers from sending pucks towards the net, and Orangeville eventually piled up 47 shots on goal.

The Flyers were led by Kosta Likourezos, who grabbed two goals. Likourezos scored the first of his two goals at 13:10 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Orangeville. Lucas Smilsky provided the assist. Likourezos' next tally made the score 4-4 with 7:18 left in the third period. Smilsky picked up the assist. Others who scored for Orangeville included Colin Rigney and James Ranson, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Orangeville were Jack Jeffers, who had two and Liam Winslow, Travis Brown, and Ryan Barbosa, who each chipped in one.

Brendan McGlynn recorded 43 saves for the Blades. Oakville incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Nicholas Latinovich made 28 saves for Orangeville on 33 shots. The Flyers incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
