Jeffers' big game bests Mississauga in 7-4 Orangeville win

The Orangeville Flyers' Jack Jeffers had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 7-4 win over the Mississauga Chargers.

Jeffers' tallies came at 8:43 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Orangeville and 12:17 into the third to make the score 6-4 Orangeville.

Orangeville found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. The Flyers average 3.2 goals per game.

Orangeville additionally got points from Kosta Likourezos, who also had two goals and one assist. Orangeville also had goals scored by Zack Lyons, Derek Topatigh, and Travis Brown, who each put in one. More assists for Orangeville came via James Ranson, Josh DeFarias, Ethan Wiseman, and Callum Cusinato, who each chipped in one and Zack Vukosa, Lucas Smilsky, and Jarret Woon Sam, who contributed two each.

Mississauga stifled Orangeville's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Chargers forced the Flyers goalie Kasimir Krol to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots.

Mississauga was helped by Aidan Parker, who tallied one goal. Parker scored 12:00 into the second period to make the score 4-3 Orangeville. Brandon Yeamans assisted on the tally. Others who scored for Mississauga included Kevin Bray, Scott Docherty, and Jake Harrison, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Mississauga were Daniel Pereira, who had two and Mike Choma, Brady Grenon, Jaimen Allison, and Zachery Ribau, who each chipped in one.

Kasimir Krol made 27 saves for Orangeville on 31 shots. The Flyers incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Tyler Richardson rejected 18 shots on goal for the Chargers. Mississauga incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
