The Toronto Patriots Patriots tried their best to erase a three-goal deficit, but the Toronto Jr. Canadiens Junior Canadiens would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 5-3. A goal by Andrew Mullen put Toronto Jr. Canadiens up 5-2 in the second period, but Toronto Patriots pulled to within two on Jack Lyons's tally 12:56 into the third period. The Junior Canadiens forced Patriots' goaltenders to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, firing 35 shots and forcing 30 saves. Sean OReilly made 19 stops and Jacob Standen made 11. Toronto Jr. Canadiens' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals. The Junior Canadiens were helped by Nicholas Jarzabek, who registered one goal. Jarzabek scored 19:43 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Toronto Jr. Canadiens. Adam DeLuca provided the assist. Others who scored for Toronto Jr. Canadiens included Cody Symonds, Anthony Trujillo, and George Novachis, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Toronto Jr. Canadiens were Matthew Ferrari, Jake Joffe, Alex Lee, and Lucas Colalillo, who contributed one each. The Patriots excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.
