Behind a great game by Brodie Maracle, who had two goals and one assist, the Wellington Dukes defeated the Pickering Panthers, 7-2. Maracle's tallies came at 3:00 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Wellington and 18:56 into the second to make the score 6-1 Wellington.Wellington forced Panthers' goalies to work between the pipes, ripping 33 shots and forcing 26 saves. Troy Paquette made 15 stops and Mathew Woroniuk made 11. The Dukes excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Wellington's goal total was higher than its season average. The Dukes average 3.5 goals per game.
