The St. Michaels Buzzers survived a determined comeback attempt by the Georgetown Raiders on the way to a 4-3 win. A goal by Cameron Searles put St. Michaels up 3-1 in the second period, but Georgetown pulled to within one on Jack Jacome's tally 5:08 into the third period. With three goals and one assist between them, Colton Trumbla and Dalton Barnes teamed up to power the Buzzers' offense. Trumbla had two goals and one assist and Barnes also added one goal. St. Michaels forced the Raiders goalie Billy Day to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots. St. Michaels also got points from Searles, who also registered one goal and one assist. In addition, St. Michaels received assists from Cameron Wright, who had two and Sam Hunter, Luke Branco, Brad Cocca, and Mitchell Devins-Cann, who each chipped in one. The Buzzers were unable to stop Georgetown from sending pucks towards the net, and the Raiders eventually piled up 43 shots on goal. Georgetown also got a goal from Andrew Court as well. More assists for Georgetown came via Jake Payette, Jordan Crocker, Bailey Molella, Daniel Hardie, and Matthew Thom, who contributed one each. St. Michaels' Jacob McGrath stopped 40 shots out of the 43 that he faced. The Buzzers incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Billy Day made 31 saves for Georgetown on 35 shots. The Raiders incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. |
