Brill-Morgan leads Stouffville over Lindsay, 6-2

The Stouffville Spirit's Christopher Brill-Morgan had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 6-2 win over the Lindsay Muskies.

Brill-Morgan found the back of the net on the power play 28 seconds into the third period to make the score 3-1 Stouffville and again while 4:17 into the third to make the score 4-1 Stouffville.

Lindsay's power play was ineffective against Stouffville's penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

The Spirit's offense rang up 42 shots on the Muskies' net. Stouffville surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Spirit average 2.9 goals per game. Stouffville got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

Others who scored for Stouffville included Max Novick, who had two and Spencer Roberts and Josh Argier, who scored one goal each. In addition, Stouffville received assists from Jackson Savery, Ryan DaSilva, Connor Evans, and Stefan Palatsidis, who contributed one each and Sam Hu and Chad Burrows, who each chipped in two.

The Spirit were unable to stop Lindsay from sending pucks towards the net, and the Muskies eventually piled up 40 shots on goal. Lindsay struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as it finished the game with 24 penalty minutes for nine opposing power plays.

The Muskies were led by Cedric Ralph, who tallied one goal and one assist. Ralph scored short handed 8:33 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Lindsay. A cross checking call on Cameron Robinson put Lindsay on the penalty kill. Cameron Lamport assisted on the tally. Lindsay also got a goal from Zach Treen as well. Other players who recorded assists for Lindsay were Brock Traill, who had one.

Conor McCollum rejected 38 shots on goal for Stouffville. The Spirit incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. The Muskies' Sean Green stopped 36 shots out of the 42 that he faced.
